Order of Assignments

Short Calls

Add a trip over the RDP and make sure to include impound reserve only if the trip releases inside of the RDP. (Like on the 26th)

If the RDP is after, adjust for rest. (Like on the 22JUN)


Long Calls

They require 12 or more hours call out. After adding a trip, add 12 hours from the report time.

If there is an exact 2 hour callout, there is no need to remove the trip from the schedule if the pilot is not immediately advised and it cuts into the 12 hours.


Sim Support

SIM support emails will come in for positions we need to fill. These follow the same rules as other trip assignments. We code them as SM2

Tips for splitting trips

​​Look for incoming dead headers. They can be tagged with flying as long as the following conditions are met:

  1. They release before the original pairing end day/time

Tag people with reserve inbound. Keep in mind duty limits


Aggressive Assignments

  1. Award Short Calls first, then Long Calls.
  2. Short Calls will be awarded if the trip matches day for day or remaining reserve workdays minus one. All other requests are at our discretion.
  3. Trips longer than the days of availability will also be awarded.
  4. Trip must also report in the Pilot's window: AM (0300–1830), MID (1200–2230), PM (1700–0200). Any trip outside the Pilot's Window is at our discretion.
  5. Long Calls may be denied if there is any window that has a negative DAG other than the window they are bidding in.
  6. Remove RDP on day one of the assignment.
  7. Transaction Code: AGG

AVA Assignments (Prior to 1600 LDT Day Prior)

  1. Run an AVA report. Are any AVAs available to be assigned?
  2. Assign AVAs in Reverse Seniority order to those available.
  3. PAY over the original footprint of the pairing worth 00:01 Credit.
  4. Transaction Code: ADT
  5. Comment Example: Assigned D3001:06AUG over AVA


Trip Assignments

  1. Pick the longest trip (by the number of calendar days) with the earliest report to assign first.
  2. Assign remaining trips (RSL's first if available, then move on to short calls).
  3. Don't forget your Order of Assignments!
  4. Advise the Supervisor if any Consolidation Pilots are used for the day.
  5. The RDP remains on day one of the assignment.
  6. Transaction Code: ADD
  7. Comment Format: ADD D3000:05AUG
  8. Assign any sick calls that report tomorrow for Pilots.
